Andrew J. Brauer, O.D.
Dr. Andrew Brauer is a comprehensive optometrist who believes in providing the highest quality experience to every patient at every visit. He recognizes that his patients are more than just numbers on a prescription, and cares deeply about their health, well-being, and lives. In a world where it can seem like everyone is in a hurry, Dr. Brauer prides himself on taking the time to listen and thoughtfully address any questions or concerns that his patients might have.
Dr. Brauer is originally from central Illinois and spent his youth on his family’s farm- it was there that he first learned the value of hard work- and also that he didn’t want to be a farmer. Dr. Brauer earned a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and went on to graduate with several clinical honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Since that time, Dr. Brauer has practiced in a wide variety of settings- from a high-end Michigan Avenue optical to nursing homes on the south side of Chicago, and everything in between.
In his free time, Dr. Brauer loves spending time with his wife, Nicole, and their black labrador retriever, Thunder. He has a wide variety of interests and likes learning new things. If there were more hours in the day, he’d spend them playing golf, exercising, or trying to become a better cook.
